The Egyptian Committee has completed land leveling at Nitsarim Camp, south of Gaza City, and has begun erecting durable tents to shelter thousands of Palestinian families displaced by recent hostilities. This milestone follows intensive, round-the-clock work by the committee’s technical and engineering teams, ensuring the site meets the highest safety and capacity standards.
Upon completion of site preparation, the committee started installing shelters and equipping the camp with insulating materials and appropriate flooring to protect residents from rain, wind, and harsh winter conditions. The tents were selected for their durability and ability to withstand adverse weather, while the camp layout ensures safe and adequate accommodation for families in need.
The initiative forms part of a comprehensive response plan designed to alleviate the suffering of displaced families. The camp is equipped with water and sanitation facilities, food distribution points, and emergency relief services, providing essential conditions for dignified living.
The Egyptian Committee emphasized that this humanitarian project continues Egypt’s ongoing support for Gaza residents through a series of interventions, including distributing tents, food supplies, flour, shelter kits, and supporting hospitals and local institutions operating in the area.
